Great day at Lake Anne Water Park!

I got to go swimming at a big outdoor water park today with Mommy and Daddy. I laughed a lot when going down the water slide, floating in the lazy river, and of course while playing with the big turtle. It was exciting to see so many other kids enjoying the water as much as I do!

Where's Grandpa Jordan?

My Grandpa Jordan has been traveling all around the U.S. for the last couple months. He's sent me postcards from all there different places I've never heard of before. His last couple came from a place called Alaska. Sure seems really cold up there, I hope he brought his hat.

Dad put together a map so I can see where he's been. Check it out.

I GOT A BIKE!!!!!!

I got to go visit my Auntie Marie in Maryland this July 4th. We had a bar-b-que and she had the best surprise ever for me...a new, fun red bicycle! She spoils me and I love it! She made such good food. I tried marinated chicken, corn, potato salad...and I rode my bike all around her house. I also played with her funny dog Daisy. I like dogs and Daisy reminded me of how much I miss Rembrandt and Snow down in Virginia Beach. I hope to see them soon, too!

Postcards from My G-dad

My Mommy's Daddy, or my G-dad, sends me the best postcards almost every week...some weeks more than one! They are from all over the country as he is traveling constantly for work. He seems to work in some really neat places and I love all the stories he shares on the cards. We might make a scrapbook just for all of the postcards since they are so special to me. Thanks, G-dad!!!

I love swimming!

I'd swim at a pool everyday if I could. I love weekends because we get to visit my Aunt Kriste at Pentagon Row and swim in her huge indoor pool. Hooray!

I looked like an alien!!!

So, as I mentioned before---Mommy and I had to return early back to home from VA Beach unexpectedly this past weekend. I started breaking out in big hives while at my Gram's house and at first everyone just thought it was a food allergy to milk since I just started drinking real milk. But then they got worse and bigger, so we thought maybe I was having an allergic reaction to my Gram's dogs since I had not played with them so much before. The hives didn't itch or bug me at all, but they kept getting worse so Mommy brought me back home early so I could see a doctor. It's good she did that because the next day I started running a fever and the doctor said it was no allergy and I had a bacterial infection that needed to be treated with antibiotics. He said it is a common thing kids get sometimes from each other so maybe I picked it up from some other little kids at the nursery at church last weekend....Anyway, this picture is what my skin looked like BEFORE it got even scarier looking. For a few hours, there was no white spaces on me...only pink! I wasn't that miserable, but I looked pretty scary, so I'm glad the antibiotics have started working and my skin is looking less like an goofy pink alien!!!

Went to Visit Grams and Uncle Rob

I went to Virginia Beach this past weekend to visit my Mommy's Mommy and my Uncle Rob. I also got to see my Great, Great Aunt Trudy (My Mommy's Mommy's sister). Not many kids have a great, great aunt so I feel lucky. She is really funny although she kept wanting to pinch my cheeks....I guess that is what aunties do! I also got to play with my Gram's doggies...they are big and gave me lots of kisses which made me laugh. We didn't get to stay that long....and I'll explain why in my next post!!!

My Last Day of Being a Baby

So it's my last day of being "0" since I turn one tomorrow. I'm trying to stay up all night for my birthday but it's 10pm and I'm getting really tired. Maybe I'll just put my head down for a minute....
